TEMPER SOHO

A secret smokey hideaway below the streets of Soho filled with music, theatre and woodsmoke from a 6m long central firepit, (the biggest we know of in any restaurant anywhere). We have comfortable private booths and tables or you can sit by the pit and watch chefs cook big cuts of meat over an open fire, press tortillas by hand and butcher all the meat from whole animals.

We have a huge wine list and one of the biggest and best tequila and mezcal lists in the city. The food is largely non traditional South American but expect twists from all over the world and an award winning cocktail list to wash it all down.

The wine is light and very expressive – lime, orange peel mingle with mineral notes, ending with racy acidity and freshness.

It’s beautifully floral and elegant on the nose, with notes of rose petal and violets, with delicate wild hedgerow fruit and hints of Seaspray. The palate is fine and juicy, with amazing purity on the long, fresh finish.
